Out of pure excitement of the raffle we have been housing in our lobby (TWO BEAUTIFUL KAYAKS), we thought it would be appropriate to list the 5 best places to take your kayak this summer!

1.) Nicatous Lake

Spanning an approximate thirteen miles, this is one of the best places to kayak in Maine as it features beautiful coves, islands, and bays to explore via your kayak!

2.) Acadia National Park

Acadia is known for its breathtaking views and is a great destination if you’re looking to take your family along for the adventure! A small fee must be paid to gain entrance from May through October, so be sure to have some money on hand. Credit cards are also accepted!

3.) West Branch Penobscot River

Along the West Branch of the Penobscot River is another one of the best places to kayak in Maine! This river has extraordinary views and provides a tranquil environment. Be sure to bring your camera along – you just may see a moose!

4.) St. John River

St. John is a beautiful option for the more experienced kayaker. This river features flat-water currents and class IV rapids!

5.) Boothbay Harbor

If you’re looking for a little seascape, then Boothbay Harbor is a great place to tow your kayak! Not only is the scenery breathtaking, but there are a plethora of quaint, coastal restaurants, eateries, and shops to enjoy when you take a break!
