Financial education & advice is something that we can never get enough of. However, finding an accurate and helpful source isn’t always easy.

We want our members to have the resources they need to answers any questions they may have. There are  online resources available for children, young adults and adults. We will review some of the resources available here.

Additionally, if you ever have any questions, our staff will be more than willing to help.

Young Adult Resources for Financial Education

young-and-free-maineYoung and Free Maine is a program created by Maine’s Credit Unions for 18-25 year olds. They are a great resource for everything related to your finances, such as “Boosting your Credit Score,” and “Demystifying Mortgages.”



College Score CardThe U.S. Department of Education has created a page where you can search for a college based on Programs/Degrees, Location, Size and whether it’s Private or Public. In addition, there is information on types of financial aid, and you can calculate your aid.

Federal Trade CommissionThe Federal Trade Commission has answers to all of your financial questions. There is information about credit, shopping and saving, buying and owning a car, dealing with debt, mortgages, privacy, identity and online security. They even have an interactive Make a Budget worksheet!

US MoneyThe U.S. News & World Report Money section has many articles on personal finance, retirement, careers, real estate, mutual funds and investing. It’s a good resource if your looking for more advanced finance information.
